The Center for Children and Women is closing

Both locations of The Center for Children and Women will be closing. The Greenspoint location will close December 1, 2023 and the Southwest location will close on June 30, 2024. These closures will not change your coverage with Texas Children's Health Plan. If you have questions about your care, please contact The Center for Children and Women at 832-828-1005. Provider Departure

Dr. Sara Curtis will no longer be providing care at The Centers for Children and Women after September 19, 2023. If you are a patient of Dr. Curtis, please call us at 832-828-1005 to schedule your appointment with another provider. We thank Dr. Curtis for her many years of service at The Centers!

Policy update

Starting on January 2023. Minors that do not come with a legal parent or guardian must get verbal approval to receive care.

A parent or guardian must be at the first visit to complete forms. For each visit after, the parent or guardian can call from then on. Parents must speak with the care team for medical related questions.

Dr. Ring is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and the Associate Medical Director for the Center for Children and Women in Houston, TX. She developed a deep passion for serving the underserved and developing health policy and became an advocate for patients and physicians through her work with the American Medical Association in medical school. Dr. Ring actively advocates for her patients, her colleagues and her specialty.  She can frequently be found in state and national capitols discussing health policy. Her specialty interests include high-risk and low-risk pregnancy, perinatal mental health, family planning, wilderness medicine, disaster preparation, LGBTQ care, well-women care and preventative health.
